The following is a list of Internet sites to help you with Italian Indexing.

For help with numbers, go to google and type in Italian numbers 1- 100. From the list the populates, select Italian Numbers 1 -100 flashcards/Quizlet.

The Italian white pages is a place to look for Italian surnames. Just go to google and type "Italian White pages". From the list that populates, select, PagineBianche - which means white pages. This is the actual Italian white pages, with current listings of people who have phones in Italy. 

The best way to find Italian names, is to look on the Italian Internet.

You can go to www.google.it, and it will take you to the Italian google Internet search engine. Try typing the name you are looking for into the search bar. If it is a valid name, it will appear.

Another useful tool is the Italian Surname search - cognomi means surname in Italian. go to www.cognomix.it. Then click on the link at the top that says, "Mappe dei cognomi", which means map of surnames. Type the name you are looking for in the box next to, "Cognome:" and press "Cerca!" (which is the enter button.) The map that comes up will show you where the concentration of people with that last name live. If the name you typed in is not recognized, you will see:
Attenzione: il cognome(the name you typed in) non è stato trovato.

A good website for looking up Italian given names is www.nomix.it/nomi-italiani-maschili-e-femminili.php. This list is in alphabetical order and are listed as either feminine or masculine.
